Guests driving in to Dumoine Lake from Kipawa can safely park their vehicles at the Dumoine Lake landing where water taxi will be waiting.

  1. Travel NORTH on PROVINCIAL ROUTE 400N
  2. Take PROVINCIAL ROUTE 11N towards Orillia/North Bay
  3. Continue on PROVINCIAL ROUTE 11N to North Bay
  4. At North Bay from PROVINCIAL ROUTE 11N turn RIGHT onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63 (TROUT LAKE ROAD)
  5. Continue to follow PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63 crossing into Quebec
  6. PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63 becomes PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 101 (CHEMIN KIPAWA)
  7. Turn LEFT after crossing the Ottawa River into Quebec to stay on PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 101 (CHEMIN KIPAWA)
  8. Turn RIGHT onto MONTEE LETANG
  9. Turn RIGHT onto CHEMIN KIPAWA
  10. Continue on CHEMIN KIPAWA which becomes CHEMIN DE KIPAWA for approximately 9 kilometres (5 miles)
  11. You are now entering the villiage Kipawa
  12. In the Village of Kipawa you will see our LAC DUMOINE COTTAGES CHECK-IN sign located at Maniwaki Road which is right beside the McEwen gas station. If you are driving to the lake follow directions Village of Kipawa to Lac Dumoine.

  1.  TRANS CANADA HWY W (PROVINCIAL ROUTE 17W) towards Mattawa/North Bay
  2. TRANS CANADA HWY W (PROVINCIAL ROUTE 17W) becomes PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 533 (VALOIS DRIVE/PROMENADE VALOIS) in Mattawa
  3. In Mattawa follow PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 533 (VALOIS DRIVE/PROMENADE VALOIS)
  4. Continue to follow PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 533
  5. At the end of PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 533 turn RIGHT onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63
  6. Continue to follow PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63 crossing into Quebec
  7. PROVINCIAL ROUTE 63 becomes PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 101 (CHEMIN KIPAWA)
  8. Turn LEFT after crossing the Ottawa River into Quebec to stay on PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 101 (CHEMIN KIPAWA)
  9. Turn RIGHT onto MONTEE LETANG
  10. Turn RIGHT onto CHEMIN KIPAWA (at 4 way stop sign).
  11. Continue on CHEMIN KIPAWA which becomes CHEMIN DE KIPAWA for approximately 9 kilometres (5 miles)
  12. You are now entering the villiage of Kipawa
  13. In the Village of Kipawa you will see our LAC DUMOINE COTTAGES CHECK-IN sign located on Maniwaki Road next to the McEwen gas station and burger hut.

Kipawa, Quebec to Our Location

Estimated Time: 2 hours and 20 minutes

Estimated Distance: 121 kilometres (75 miles)

You will be travelling on logging roads, it is NOT recommended to travel these roads in low riding vehicles. The expected maximum travel time from the Village of Kipawa to Dumoine Lake is less than 3 hours. Groups that do not arrive within this time period will prompt our staff to travel the road looking for your group.

  1. From our LAC DUMOINE COTTAGES sign located on route 101 turn right at stop sign onto Chemin de Kipawa.
  2. Travel on CHEMIN DE KIPAWA for approximately 9 kilometres
  3. Turn RIGHT onto the MANIWAKI ROAD, which is located at the MacEwen gas station. This is where another LAC DUMOINE COTTAGES DIRECTION SIGN is located
  4. Drive on MANIWAKI ROAD for approximately 38 kilometres (23 miles)
  5. You will see our DUMOINE LAKE DIRECTION SIGNS (on the left). These signs have white background with blue letters. Turn LEFT at sign onto Red Pine Chutes Rd.
  6. FOLLOW OUR SIGNS FROM THIS POINT FORWARD
  7. Drive on this road for about 9 kilometres (6 miles) until you come to a one lane bridge
  8. After the bridge keep RIGHT at the fork, our DUMOINE LAKE DIRECTION SIGNS will assist you.
  9. Keep on this road until you come to a cross road
  10. At the cross road turn RIGHT, this is the BEARN ROAD which is not marked … but our DUMOINE LAKE DIRECTION SIGNS are posted
  11. Continue following our DUMOINE LAKE DIRECTION SIGNS (all signs are placed approximately 20 km apart
